katie + chris | New York Engagement Photography

I am so humbled by the time I get with couples before their wedding day. This one especially!

I headed up to New York City just after Thanksgiving to capture one of my closest friends with the love of her life. 

I remember when Katie told me about Chris. As she talked about this Texas boy that she'd met so far away from our hometown, she lit up differently than I'd ever seen her before.  Her voice changed...my passionate friend bubbled over with giddy, gushy emotion as she told me how much he loved Jesus, his family and his friends. I never imagined my very talented actress friend would fall so hard for a brilliant accountant, but when I met Chris, I knew.

I knew they were made for each other. I knew that no one could possibly love Katie the way this strong, stable man did. I knew that through all the twists and turns their lives would take he did and would take better care of my precious friend than I would have been able to dream for her. 

I've loved every minute I've gotten with my best friends on the other side of the country. I love how their marriage will affect other people...how their love will be a standard to me and anyone they meet for years to come.

With their wedding in just one week, I thought I'd show off some of what we captured that fabulous weekend in their city.
