CLAYTON + BONNIE | LAKE TAHOE WEDDING

The moment I set foot on Zephyr Point's property, I said, "This is it for me!"

I'm pretty confident heaven will look a lot like Lake Tahoe. The perfect combination of mountains, water and camp made my heart race that September weekend. What a perfectly BEAUTIFUL setting for a gorgeous couple's wedding.

Getting to be a part of destination weddings is one of the coolest things I've done. In the 48 hours we spent with Clayton, Bonnie and their families I felt like I made good friends. We were invited into intimate family moments that will be remembered forever. For that, I couldn't be more grateful.

Clayton and Bonnie belong on the cover of a Patagonia catalog. These two incredible people love outdoor adventure as much as any couple I've been in contact with. And as lovely as their lives look from the outside today (Cambodia/Thailand/Laos honeymoon to boot), I think getting to know their roots was as special to me.

Maybe because she learned love from such an incredible family, but just watch them for a second and you can tell that Bonnie loves Clay deeply! And having climbed some of the most incredible rocks this planet has to offer, I'm convinced Clay's heart races most when he looks at his bride.

The way these two love each other is so much more than adventurous. Their lives will affect the people they meet...just like this weekend with their families affected me.

As a long time fan of Everest Road, this is my favorite wedding yet. I might be a little partial to the photographer and to mountain settings, but Jessica and Ashley, you did an amazing job of capturing how these two love each other and the perfect setting. So many ideal emotions and memories captured for the couple's family, the couple's future kids and even their grandkids. Every shot was one a bride and groom and their parent's dream of getting on wedding day. What a beautiful couple. I felt like I was part of the day, the mountain beauty, the bride's beauty, the love of the couple and the joy of their family watching.
